Subscription Box Deals & Coupon Codes!

There are a few really great deals on subscription boxes right now!

PopSugar Must Have (a personal favorite!) has released this code for $15 off a box: XL25K3Z. If you only want one box, be sure to check the box that says ‘this is a gift’ and your subscription won’t renew. The discount makes this box $25!! If you want a shot at getting the May box, check the box that says send me an earlier box if available. If you want the June Must Have box, make sure the check box is empty. Sign up for PopSugar Must Have here.

This Month's Box

Birchbox currently has a code to get your first box for only $5! That’s 50% off!! I never see coupons for Birchbox subscriptions, so I don’t know if this one will be back again. Birchbox makes a GREAT gift. The code is SUMMERSUB. Sign up for Birchbox here.

Plus Box Subscription from Conscious Box

Conscious Box is currently available on RueLaLa. A 3-month subscription is $35 and a 6-month subscription is $65. According to RueLaLa, a 3-month sub is usually $56.85 and a 6-month is $107.70. I got really frustrated with Conscious Box last year because the boxes weren’t great, but my mom’s been getting pretty good boxes lately. It might be worth giving Conscious Box another shot! Will you be taking advantage of any of these deals? If so, which ones? Let me know in the comments!

Great Glossybox Deal on Living Social Today!!

There’s a great deal going on over at Living Social today! Glossybox subscriptions are available in 1, 3, 6, and 12-month increments at a discount!

• $16 ($21 value) for a one-month subscription + included shipping
• $45 ($60 value) for a three-month subscription + included shipping
• $90 ($115 value) for a six-month subscription + included shipping
• $165 ($220 value) for a 12-month subscription + included shipping

You can also use coupon code WARMUP to get an additional 20% off. I’ve subscribed to Glossybox off and on over the last two years, and I recommend taking advantage of this deal! I’m never disappointed by the value of the products inside Glossybox. This would make a perfect gift for any beauty product lovers in your life! Here’s the link.

There are two other Living Social deals going on right now that I’d also recommend!

Gift Box

I’m not purchasing either of them right now, but I ordered the Spicely Organic Spice Gift Box last year and it’s great! The price is $21, and I’m guessing there’s shipping on top of that. There are several different box options to choose from. Good gift for anyone who likes to cook or bake!

Michael Todd True Organics Knu Anti-aging Face Lift Serum is also available on Living Social! This is a super pricey ($150) serum, but it’s only $28 on the Living Social site. I’ve been using this serum for awhile and am loving it! I have super dry skin, so I cleanse, moisturize, then warm up the serum between my hands and apply it all over my face. It’s worked really well in keeping my face smooth and hydrated! This serum has several celebrity fans, but I’m always wondering who is really a fan of something and who is just getting paid. I don’t know how well the anti-aging claims fare, but this product HAS improved my skin.

Anyone else picking up deals on Living Social or anywhere else? Let me know!

September 2013 ipsy glam bag Review

The September ipsy theme was Classic Beauty. This is what the bag looked like:

Here’s a look at what was inside. (Sorry for the picture quality.)

Here’s the back of the card with offers for September.

The products:

Starlooks Obsidian Kohl Eye Pencil – I hesitated to try this because I have a ton of eyeliners. I read some reviews and they were mixed, so I decided to give it a go. I was pleasantly surprised! The pencil glided on smoothly and stayed put. I used it on my waterline and had no problems!

Elizabeth Mott It’s So Big Volumizing Mascara – I haven’t tried this, and I probably won’t. I have several mascaras to try right now, so I’ll probably pass this one along.

Victoria Jackson Taupe Brow Pencil – This pencil is a bit too dark for me. It’s taupe and should be universal, but every time I’ve tried it the results were terrible. I’m hoping I can find a way to make it work or give it to someone with darker brows!

NYX Eyeshadow – This is a pretty purple color. I haven’t opened it and may pass it on. Always happy to get a full sized product, though!

J.Cat Beauty Fantabulous Lipstick – This is a nude lipstick. I’m super pale and looked a bit washed out when I used it, but I think it’ll look great on either of my sisters. Here’s a closer look at the lipstick:

My rating for the September ipsy glam bag: B+

While I wasn’t a fan of the brow pencil and will probably give away the lipstick and mascara, I still feel like this was a good box. I love the idea of getting an eyeliner, lipstick, brow pencil, mascara, and eyeshadow all in the same box! I really liked the eyeliner. I could probably get use out of all the products if I needed to, but I’m able to pick and choose because of my makeup stockpile! Plus, I always like having things on hand to give to the girls in my family. So overall, I give this box a B+! Ipsy is $10/month. Sign up through any of my links in this post!

October SockPanda Review

SockPanda is a sock subscription box specializing in cute, crazy socks to make you smile every time you wear them! The price is $11 per month per pair of socks. The choices are women’s cool, women’s bold, men’s cool, and men’s bold. This is my third month of SockPanda, and I love this pair!!

I like that they’re unique and unlike any socks I have. I also appreciate that there’s some thought behind the design–they’re part of the Nobel Prize series. I wasn’t expecting to learn anything when I opened my SockPanda package. It was a pleasant surprise!

20131106-223709.jpgWhile I really do like SockPanda, I’m canceling because I can’t afford to spend $11 on one pair of socks per month. I like this subscription for a gift idea, though! If you love fun socks, check out SockPanda!

October 2013 Blush Mystery Beauty Box Review

The Blush Mystery Beauty Box (Bag) has become one of my favorite subscriptions! This month, the featured curator is Kimberly Klotz-Kolodziejski, co-founder of Chella. If you’re an ipsy subscriber, you’ve probably received a Chella product or two over the last several months. I like the brand so far. So what was in this month’s box? Take a look!

These were my samples. Unfortunately the dremu oil leaked and was completely empty by the time it got to me. The small bag contained all the liquid so it didn’t get on any other products. The other sample is Specific Beauty Night Treatment Complex Step 3.

The featured product this month was Chella Highlighter Pencil in Ivory Lace. I actually already have this product from ipsy, but I’m so glad to have another! I watched a video on the blush site showing several ways to use the pencil so I’m using it constantly now! I like multipurpose products. I mainly use it under eyebrows, down my nose, and on my cheekbones and blend it with an eyeshadow brush.

The reason I decided to get the October Blush box is this next product: butter London nail lacquer in Kerfuffle! I’ve wanted to try butter London for a long time. This color is a peachy pink and seems more suitable to spring than fall, but we’re not bound by the rules of fashion & beauty. I’ll use this polish next time I paint my nails. Super excited it was included!

Next is Karin Herzog Vit-A-Kombi 1 daily moisturizer. That’s what the info card says, but my product actually says VITAMIN H across it. The cream is bright yellow gold and feels incredibly moisturizing. I like it!

Myface Cosmetics Lip Pop Gloss didn’t impress me. It looks pretty enough on, and it’s basically a sheer gloss. None of the bright pink pigment transfers onto my lips. It feels smooth and isn’t sticky. No smell or taste, but it’s just kind of a ‘meh’ product that I think most supermarkets would carry. I prefer lip products that make me feel pampered.

Theraplex Ft Exfoliating Emollient is supposed to restore softness and comfort to severely rough dry hands and feet. I have super dry hands and feet so this is perfect for me! This looks like a full size product. I can’t wait to use it!!

Talika Lipocils Expert is an interesting product. The applicator shown on the package is a like a mascara wand with a soft applicator tip. The sample only came with a soft applicator. It’s supposed to enhance your lashes. I may not use this one because I have sensitive eyes.

Miracle Skin Transformer Face SPF 20 is a 5 in 1 tinted skin enhancer. I got the Medium shade so I’ll probably give it away to someone who isn’t so pale! 🙂

The final product is one I was really excited about, but mine came broken. Mirabella Mineral Highlighting Powder is basically a blush. It’s beautiful! And it’s full size, which I think is $38. I received Shimmer Rose and that’s probably the color I would’ve picked for myself. Since mine was broken, blush is sending a replacement. My account says I’ll be getting the Latte Swirl shade this time. Blush has good customer service, I’ve dealt with them a few times.

My rating for the October Blush Box: B+

(3 products I love, 2 more I’m excited to try–3 products I probably won’t use. Also taking into consideration the broken blush.)

If you want to try, let me know in the comments. I can send you an email for $10 off your first purchase!
