Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share a few “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My teaser for the week comes from Love a la Carte by Jeffrey Stepakoff.
“All the good things in life are the simple things, and I think that gets lost when you cut corners. I understand that in business certain things are necessary, but how do you valuate the taste of a fresh orange pulled from the cooler and peeled with sea-salted hands in August? How do you put a cost per unit on a hunk of black Crillo chocolate taken at midnight with the last sips of wine when all the guests have finally gone? What do you do when you’ve found a perfect apple?” -Kindle App Location 230 of 582, 39%
This Kindle book is free on Amazon! It’s short. It takes less than half an hour to read and includes a sample of another Stepakoff book. It was a fun read. I recommend it! Click through the Amazon link to see the product page.
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your ‘teasers’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!
